Book - Beyond A Big Sky - Audrey Steinfeldt
4.9
Henry Parkham never should have been born.
Not here, not now, not to the family he was born into...
Kurt Dugget, brand-new high school history teacher and unwitting six-man football coach, laments the life of his awkward, unwanted student.
But time has a way of manipulating perspective - of showing a person that maybe HE'S the odd man out. That when worlds collide, courage and conviction are required, not just recommended.
Kurt discovers, almost too late, that every action, every ticking-away-moments, is crucial to someone somewhere, and that we each have histories to make or destroy in the span of our lives.
And that football - the great American sport - is a template for creating unlikely bonds and legendary heroics.
